Bow and Bay window applications are a specialty that B&B Metal Designs has been fabricating since we opened in 2002. The bottom right is a basic illustration of our most popular applications. The top is a continuous bay spliced in the center. The middle image is a 3 piece bay application and the bottom is a bowed rod.
The first step in creating the perfect bow or bay is having proper measurements. For all bow or continuous bay windows we require an on-site measuring appointment or a template. For non- continuous bay window applications, wall measurements are typically all that is required. We highly recommend adjustable brackets and swivel connectors be considered for all bow and bay rods.
Adjustable brackets Bow & Bay Rods and swivel connectors can compensate for many flaws in the wall measurements and the inconsistent structure of drywall. As with all of our hardware we strongly recommend using a professional window treatment installer.
For our bow and bay rods, it is important that the installer be able to trim steel rods. Because of inconsistencies in measuring it is best that the installer is able to cut mitered angles as well.
